One way to memorize large algorithm sets, such as PLL is memorize the most common cases first. If you memorize the most common first then you have less of a chance of forgetting what you learned first. You also get more gratitude for memorizing as you have more of a chance to use what you learned.

Things I want non-cubers to know
Just because I can solve a 3x3 (Rubik's Cube) does not mean I am good at math. Solving a 3x3 requires no math or equations. It's impossible to solve 5 sides and not the otherYou don't solve one side then the next, then the next. You solve in layers.I can't teach you how to solve a … Continue reading Things I want non-cubers to know

1.Algorithm An algorithm is a set of moves used to solve the cube. Speedcubers memorize specific algorithms for a case. Often there are several possible algorithms for a case and speedcubers will choose there favorite. They are usually expressed using cubing notation which uses a letter to signify each face of the cube. An example … Continue reading Speedcubing Terms
5 Annoying Things Cubers Hear
Teach me the "trick". Listen to me closely when I say, "THERE IS NO TRICK". I know you may not believe it but it's true. You cannot repeat the same moves on an unsolved cube and have it randomly solve itself. There are no three moves that can solve it. There is no secret way to turn it.
